ORIMUS at AI305: taking AI robotics out of the lab

ORIMUS Founder and CEO Maher Nana joined the AI robotics panel at AI305, and ORIMUS powered a ground robotics workshop at the conference.

On Friday, October 2, ORIMUS took part in AI305, Florida International University's conference on artificial intelligence, held in the Graham Center Ballrooms in Miami.

Founder and CEO Maher Nana joined the conference's first panel, "Out of the Lab, Into the World: The New Wave of AI Robotics." The session explored how AI-powered robots move from prototypes to safe, scalable, real-world deployments. ORIMUS also powered a workshop on the day, "From Remote Control to Autonomy: What AI Made Possible in Ground Robotics," and CMO Bryan Levy was among the conference speakers.

That theme sits at the center of our work. A robot that performs well in a lab still has to prove itself in the real world: on a school or university campus, in a residential community, around a house of worship. These places change by the hour. They are full of people. And the security teams who look after them need timely context, not more noise.

ORIMUS is building autonomous mobile security for those environments. The platform is designed to support existing personnel and infrastructure. It can patrol designated routes, observe changing conditions and give operators timely context, while people stay in command of the response. Security teams cannot be everywhere. A mobile layer can help them get closer.

The move from remote control to autonomy matters here. When a ground robot can handle more of the routine work of moving and observing, operators can put their attention where it belongs: on judgment and decisions.

ORIMUS is actively developing and validating the platform, and we will keep sharing progress here as it develops.
